Saskatoon police looking for ‘armed and dangerous’ man after city’s third murder of 2025
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) have charged a 27-year-old man with first degree murder and are looking for a second “armed and dangerous” suspect after a man was shot at a motel in the city on Saturday.
It is the third homicide in the city in 2025.
SPS said in a news release late Saturday night that officers were called to the motel in the 2000 block of Avenue B North, believed to be Riviera Motor Inn, around 5 a.m. on May 17 after receiving a report of a person with a gunshot wound.
Police said they found an injured 20-year-old man, who was taken to hospital and later died.
