Field fire west of Melfort extinguished

The Melfort Fire Department was called to a field fire west of the city.
The incident happened early Tuesday morning.
Seven firefighters responded to the call and managed to extinguish the row of stubble to prevent the fire from spreading in the dry, windy conditions.
The department thanked the landowner who helped by using a loader to extinguish the fire.
