Break-in and theft

Humboldt RCMP investigating two separate break-ins

May 22, 2025 | 11:06 AM

Humboldt RCMP are looking for help in solving two break-ins that happened within the last week.

The first was at a home in the 100 block of 12th Street in Humboldt and took place sometime between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on May 16.

Lanigan RCMP assisted in the call, where police say suspects broke into the home and stole jewellery out of a jewellery box.

The second incident happened at a storage facility in Humboldt during the early hours of Monday, May 19.

Police said at around 1 a.m., surveillance video caught a dark coloured four-door Ford hatchback driving into a storage compound on 4th Avenue. Although the video did not catch the license plate on the vehicle, it did show two occupants leaving the car and checking for easily accessible storage units.

At this time, it’s believed nothing was stolen. Police are reminding people to lock their property away when not in use.
