House destroyed by fire

Fire claims house east of Melfort

A house was destroyed by fire east of Melfort on the weekend.

The Melfort Fire Department was called to the blaze Sunday morning.

Crews arrived at the scene and the house was already fully engulfed in flames.

The department began to fight the fire but ultimately the house was completely destroyed.

Crews were on the scene for five and a half hours, and there were no injuries.

The department was called out that night to the same scene as debris from the house fire rekindled.

The flare-up was quickly put out.
