
PWHL’s Victoire sign Downie-Landry and Flaherty, lose Grant-Mentis to Seattle
MONTREAL — The Montreal Victoire signed forward Jade Downie-Landry and defender Maggie Flaherty on Friday ahead of the upcoming Professional Women’s Hockey League draft.
Downie-Landry joins Montreal on a one-year contract after spending two seasons with the New York Sirens.
The 29-year-old from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., has produced 12 goals and seven assists in 54 PWHL games.
Flaherty, coming off back-to-back Walter Cup titles with the Minnesota Frost, also signed a one-year contract.
