Homicide on Red Earth Cree Nation leads to charges

An 18-year-old man faces a murder charge after a death on Red Earth Cree Nation.
Carrot River RCMP were called to a report of an injured person at a home on Red Earth on Tuesday evening.
29-year-old Gerald McKay’s was declared dead at the scene, and his death was considered suspicious in nature.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took control of the investigation, and as a result Cecil Whitehead, 18, of Red Earth Cree Nation is charged with one count of second-degree murder.
