The final round of the 2025 Saskatchewan Junior Golf Championships is complete, as the three-day tournament wrapped up on Thursday at the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre.

While no local golfers finished top three in either the junior men’s or women’s overall group, some were quite close to the top and in some cases even finished top three in their individual divisions.

One of, if not the best, finishes came from North Battleford’s Shae Maunula, who ended tied for fourth in the junior men’s U17 category, even earning a berth at the upcoming National tournament, by way of a playoff.

The Canadian Junior Men’s Championship is set for Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club- Bathurst, N.B., from August 12-15, 2025.

Another high finisher from Battleford was Natalie Maunula, claiming third place in the five-player junior women’s U15 division, while Finn Silver finished T-8 in the U17 junior men’s group.

As for Prince Albert golfers, their best placement came from Wyatt Nelson, who ended in sixth in the junior men’s U17 category. Right behind Nelson in solo seventh was Humboldt’s Tryce Wallin.

Meanwhile, another Wallin from Humboldt, Tylan, grabbed a T-5 spot in the junior men’s U15 division. Not far behind him was a pair of McDougall’s from Humboldt, as Hudson and Emmett placed solo eighth and tenth, respectively.

Other local golfers outside the top 10 included Humboldt’s Jack Ellis and North Batlleford’s Hayden Solomko (both T-11 in the U15 junior men’s), and P.A.’s Greyson De Padua (25th), Kaleb Cournoyer (T-26), Ronan McDougall (T-31), Grady McDougall (T-33) and Addison Burton (39th).

The next event is the Amateur Championships, which begin Tuesday, July 15th, at the Humboldt Golf Club.
