Fatal crash in Humboldt

Crash in Humboldt kills one, injures another

Jul 15, 2025 | 1:06 PM

An investigation is underway into a fatal crash in Humboldt.

RCMP were called about a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Main Street Friday morning at 11.

Investigators determined a car and SUV collided, and both drivers were taken to hospital by EMS.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old man from Humboldt, was later declared dead by medical staff. His family has been notified.

The SUV driver received serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and neither vehicle had passengers.

RCMP say a conservation officer (CO) saw the car travel through an intersection at a high rate of speed. The CO activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment to try to conduct a traffic stop but immediately lost sight of the vehicle.

The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) was notified, but SIRT advised the RCMP that the incident was out of their mandate.

The collision remains under investigation by Humboldt RCMP, with the help of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
