Jul 18, 2025 | 5:03 PM

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has released new information regarding their investigation into a missing 24-year-old woman.

Natanis Merasty was reported missing by her family to the RCMP on May 9.

Later that same month, EPS took over the investigation and continues to work with its law enforcement counterparts in various jurisdictions. Investigators have now released a timeline of where Merasty or her vehicle were last seen in hopes of garnering more information from people who may have seen her.

  • May 5, 2025 – Merasty is captured on CCTV at the Continental Inn at 166 Street and Stony Plain Road in Edmonton. She was observed driving away in her 2007 black Hyundai Tucson with a Saskatchewan license plate at 1:22 a.m. Her vehicle returns to the hotel around 1:30 a.m. and leaves at 2:37 a.m. Merasty is captured on CCTV at the 7-Eleven on 156 Street and 107 Avenue and leaves at 2:55 a.m. Her vehicle travels through the Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Buck Lake, Nordegg and Lake Louise areas.
  • May 6 – The vehicle travels through British Columbia
  • May 7 – The vehicle travels by ferry to Nanaimo, B.C.
  • May 10 – The vehicle returns to the Edmonton area
  • May 12 – The vehicle is observed west of Lloydminster
  • May 15 – Merasty’s vehicle is found abandoned and repainted on James Smith Cree Nation

She’s from La Ronge and was living in Prince Albert, and is a member of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN).

She is described as having an average build with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a black and grey baseball-style long-sleeved t-shirt. She also has multiple tattoos, including a cross on her forearm, a flower on the top of her right hand and letters on her fingers.

It is unlike Merasty to be out of touch with her family, and there are concerns for her well-being.

Anyone with information about Merasty’s whereabouts is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
