Significant paving projects underway in Tisdale

Residents in the Town of Tisdale may need to find alternate routes with several streets being paved over the coming weeks.

Chief Administrative Officer Lovely Magnaye told northeastNOW there are several paving projects underway.

They include a new developing residential area at Doghide Drive, the 900 Blk. of 101 Ave., the 1000 Blk. of 100 Ave., the 1000 Blk. of 96 Ave., and Phase Two of the Airport rehabilitation.

Magnaye said the streets mentioned above were recently dug up for underground infrastructure improvements. They are currently graveled over.

All of the projects are expected to last approximately three weeks, according to Magnaye.

“The streets will be smooth, dust free, and would require low maintenance for many years,” Magnaye said. “It will help improve airport safety and operations for recreation, spray applicators, and emergency air ambulance services.”

Those five major areas are the lone paving projects taking place in the summer of 2025, aside from various patches around the community.

Magnaye said residents should watch for signs indicating upcoming construction. The work schedule for the projects could change depending on the weather or equipment breakdowns, and Magnaye said sometimes there is little notice of upcoming work.
