Single vehicle collision takes down two light poles in Melfort

A single vehicle collision took out two light poles in Melfort on Wednesday night.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Stonegate Place and Saskatchewan Drive, across from Boston Pizza.

A white SUV was seen in the ditch, alongside the Melfort Golf & Country Club, with a smashed-in front end. According to Melfort Fire Chief Leonard Whitney, the vehicle took down a pair of light poles and one occupant was transported by EMS to the hospital with minor injuries.
