Rainfall warning issued for northeast, east-central areas
Much of the northeast is now under a rainfall warning.
Environment and Climate Change Canada issued the warning Thursday afternoon, saying the region can expect 50 to 75 mm of rain in total.
A low-pressure system is due to make its way through the province starting on Friday, and the heaviest rain will fall on the northern edge of that system.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue Friday and Saturday, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada, with the system expected to move on Sunday morning.
