City crews busy after heavy rain in Melfort
City of Melfort crews will be out checking roads and catch basins over the next couple of days.
A rainfall warning is in effect and upwards of 75 mm could fall in the northeast by the time the system leaves early Sunday.
Director of Public Works Kalyna Cipywnyk told northeastNOW that anyone with concerns about water drainage or water backup in roadways should call City Hall to let them know.
“We can direct the call and otherwise take down their information and the location and what is happening and pass that along to our public works crew, who will try to attend to the situation as soon as they can,” Cipywnyk said.
