Humboldt RCMP warning public about asphalt and paving scams

Humboldt RCMP are cautioning the public about being burned by people fraudulently offering services like asphalt and paving.

They are asking you to be wary of unsolicited offers of discounted or cheap paving, or ‘leftover’ asphalt from another project.

You’re also being reminded that it’s important to be wary of someone looking to pressure you or rush you into making a decision on such services.

RCMP say it’s important to get several quotes before diving into a decision like that, and if an offer feels too good to be true, it probably is.

Finally, if something doesn’t feel right about an offer, just walk away.
