What is happening in Saskatchewan Parks across the province this week?

Thursday, August 21 to Saturday, August 23: Saskatchewan Summer Star Party at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park The Saskatchewan Summer Star Party is back for another year in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park for a weekend full of stargazing, astronomy lessons and family-friendly activities. As one of Saskatchewan’s only dark sky preserves, Cypress Hills is the prime place to view the galaxies above.

The weekend is packed with speakers to teach you about the stars, lessons from professional aurora chasers and workshops for children. This event is proudly presented by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.

Friday, August 22 to Saturday, August 23: Vintage RV & Boat Show at Douglas Provincial Park A vintage weekend is in store for you at Douglas Provincial Park. Organized by The Store by the Shore, the Vintage RV and Boat show is back for a 2nd year in a row! An evening of Bingo and painting your very own vintage RV is on the agenda for Friday. Saturday sees a full day of activities for all ages which finishes with a beer gardens and live music at the picnic shelter.

Saturday, August 23: Cabin Fever Art Festival at Moose Mountain Provincial Park Art comes to life at Moose Mountain Provincial Park! Join us for a day filled with all things art and explore the historic Artist Colony cabins, stroll along the lake and take in the artist market, learn a new medium with art workshops, family-friendly crafts and activities, an evening concert and more!

Saturday, August 23: Sask Parks Summer Cinema at Makwa Lake Provincial Park Join us at Sask Parks Summer Cinema: The Wild Robot for an outdoor movie experience at Makwa Lake Provincial Park, presented by Fresh Air Cinema. Arrive before the show for activities with our Park Interpreters. Dress for the weather and don’t forget your blankets, bug spray and lawn chair.
