Elk left to waste

Investigation underway after cow elk shot and left to waste near Aylsham

The Turn in Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) line is looking for information after a cow elk was shot and left to waste near Aylsham.

Nipawin conservation officers were notified of the elk Sept. 27 and collected evidence at the scene.

They believe the elk had been shot sometime between the evening of Sept. 24 to 26.

A cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the people involved in the incident.
