Broncos add American forward for future considerations

The Humboldt Broncos have made a trade with the Devon Xtreme of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL).

Humboldt has picked up the CJHL rights for 20-year-old forward Levy Kozma in exchange for future considerations.

Kozma spent the entirety of last season in Devon, posting 19 goals and 20 assists, good for 39 points in 53 games. Meanwhile, the 2005-born Scottsdale, AZ native has suited up just one time this year, coming with the Elmira Aviators of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

According to a Broncos press release, Kozma’s addition adds depth and leadership to their forward group as the team continues to push through the heart of the season.

“Levy will add some scoring and veteran presence up front, and he’s another chip that can contribute on the power play,” explained Humboldt head coach and general manager, Brayden Klimosko.

Kozma is a left-handed shot left-winger/centre and stands at six feet tall, while weighing in at 176 pounds.

The Green and Gold currently hold the best winning percentage in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and are riding a seven-game win streak. Their next games are in Flin Flon, when they take on the Bombers for a weekend set, Friday and Saturday.
