Nipawin fire crews respond to rekindled blaze, vehicle collision, nuisance fire

Nov 17, 2025 | 10:19 AM

The Nipawin Fire Department had more than the Grey Cup on their mind after receiving a number of calls this weekend.

A house fire on Friday rekindled on Sunday, which meant crews having to return to the scene and investigate.

Crews then responded to a car versus deer collision near Love, and they also had to put out a nuisance fire behind L.P. Miller school just after 10 p.m.

The department had earlier set a record with calls in a year, and they are now up to 233 so far in 2025, with just over a month to go.
