Mustangs host Weyburn

Melfort Mustangs continue homestand against Weyburn tonight

Nov 26, 2025 | 10:07 AM

Note: Story changed to reflect five-game homestand, not four.’

The Melfort Mustangs look to snap their two-game losing streak tonight as they host the Weyburn Red Wings at the Northern Lights Palace.

The Mustangs dropped both games of their weekend home-and-home against the Flin Flon Bombers.

There was a bit of a shakeup in Melfort yesterday, as they acquired Austin Osiowy and Kelan Simmonds from the Kindersley Klippers for Bryson Aikens. The Mustangs then sent defenseman Jason Walia to Humboldt for a Player Development Fee.

Melfort is now 8-9-0-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) on the season, and tonight’s game is their second game of a five-game homestand. Weyburn is also looking to bounce back tonight after losing two of their last three games, including a 5-2 decision to the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Saturday.

The Red Wings are 13-5-1-1 this season.

Game time at the Northern Lights Palace is at 7:30.
