The Tisdale Trojans dropped a couple of games on home ice against the top team in AAA hockey.

Tisdale fell 7-0 to the Regina Pat Canadians on Saturday and followed that up with a narrow 5-3 defeat on Sunday.

The Trojans led 2-0 after two periods on Sunday thanks to goals from Jacob Tait and Camryn Aebig.

The Pat C’s quickly scored twice to make it a tie game in the third before Kash Elke put the home squad ahead 3-2.

However, two Regina goals within a minute of each other gave them a 4-3 lead, and an empty-net goal sealed the victory.

Wyatt Fleischhacker made 54 saves in a stellar performance for the Trojans.

Tisdale is now 9-14-1 on the season, and they will look to get back in the win column Tuesday night in Saskatoon against the Contacts.

In the PJHL, the Carrot River Outback Thunder lost 6-4 to the Saskatoon Royals in their lone game this weekend.

Jaylen Knelsen, Kooper Wallington, Gavin Bodnarchuk, and Dylon Clarke scored for the Thunder, while Hunter Nakonechny made 27 saves.

The 9-11-0-1 Thunder will take on the Quakers in Saskatoon on Wednesday.

The North East U18 AA Wolfpack dropped a 3-2 decision in Melfort on Sunday against the Saskatoon Screaming Eagles.

The Wolfpack led 2-0 thanks to goals from Nixon Coleman and Ethan Janzen, but they couldn’t hold on as Saskatoon scored three unanswered goals for the win.

The story of the game for the Wolfpack was goaltending, as Kane Huston made 60 saves in the game.

Saskatoon’s Blake Mercier was also on point in the crease, stopping 51 shots for the win.

The Wolfpack is now 5-9-0-1 and will host Prince Albert in Hudson Bay on Saturday.
