Mustangs blown out again, this time at home

For the second straight night, the Melfort Mustangs didn’t really give themselves a chance to win, as they suffered a blowout loss.

After falling 8-1 in Yorkton Friday night, the Mustangs returned home to host the Battlefords North Stars on Saturday.

Unfortunately, things did not go much better in Melfort, as the Stangs lost 6-1 to the North Stars.

On the weekend, the Blue and Green were outscored 14-2 and let in four power-play goals on 12 chances, while going 0-for-8 on their respective opportunities.

The Mustangs have now lost five straight and are still nine points out of a playoff spot with 24 games remaining.
