UPDATE: Suspects still sought after area thefts

Jan 26, 2026 | 2:06 PM

Melfort RCMP have issued an update on thefts in the area earlier this week.

Police say they are no longer seeking the maroon Chevy Silverado, as it has been recovered along with a significant amount of money.

The suspects stole another vehicle from a rural property near Meskanaw and it has not yet been recovered.

That vehicle is a 2013 white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with Saskatchewan license plate 319 KDQ.

Anyone who spots the vehicle is asked to call police immediately.

Original story below:

Melfort RCMP are asking residents to keep an eye out for suspects who have been trying to steal property and vehicles in the area.

The suspects were at a rural property in the Crystal Springs area Monday morning and were last seen at a rural property northeast of Naicam early Monday afternoon.

The truck is described as a newer maroon and black coloured Chevy Silverado pickup truck with two to four suspects inside.

One of the males was dressed in all black clothing, while another was wearing a blue winter jacket, black ski pants, and a bright orange balaclava.

Anyone who spots the truck or the suspects can contact 9-1-1 right away, as “police are currently patrolling the area making attempts to locate the suspect vehicle,” the RCMP release stated.

Police believe the vehicle travelled east from the Naicam area.
