RCMP seek woman wanted in North Battleford assault and confinement investigation
Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate a woman wanted in connection with a violent incident in North Battleford.
Police said officers were called to the downtown area around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 after receiving reports of two injured people. A man and woman were found with non-life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital by EMS.
Investigators determined the pair had been assaulted and forcibly confined during an altercation involving several people at a residence on 100th Street. Both victims later managed to escape.
As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Conner Dreaver of North Battleford and 21-year-old Mia Starchief of Mosquito, Grizzly Bear’s Head, Lean Man First Nation have been charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, breaking and entering a residence, and robbery. Starchief is also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
