Coffee with Council in Melfort Wednesday night

Feb 11, 2026 | 10:10 AM

It’s a chance to learn more about what’s happening in the City of Melfort.

Another Coffee with Council event is being held at the Kerry Vickar Centre Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m.

Coun. Tara Muntain told northeastNOW that the event gives people a chance to discuss important topics in a relaxed setting.

“You can just come together and ask any questions at all that you might have with any of the councillors or [the] mayor,” Muntain said.

Attendance grew significantly from the first event to the second, and the meetings are designed to be held quarterly. Muntain said it’s a great opportunity for residents to have an informal discussion with city representatives.

Coffee with Council also gives people a chance to get that important information straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak. While ‘coffee row’ can often have a little information on a topic, council would be able to fill in the blanks and prevent disinformation or rumour on important issues in Melfort.

“If they want to talk to the city councillors to let them know their issues or concerns or questions, then we can find out for them or give them the proper information to look it up,” Muntain said.
