Councillor byelection in Watson on Wednesday

Residents in Watson are voting in a byelection for councillor Wednesday. 

There are two candidates for the councillor position, and the Town posted their profiles. 

Christopher Gerspacher was born and raised in Watson and owns CKG Automotive. 

“My girlfriend and I own a home in Watson, and I take pride in supporting the community that supports me,” Gerspacher wrote in the candidate profile. “When I’m not working on vehicles, you’ll usually find me on the golf course, at the lake, or snowmobiling.” 

Nathan Rempel and his wife moved to the community in 2010, and they now have three children.

He works at QCPL as a CCA, and for the last eight years has been the chair of the Watson Regional Daycare Centre’s Board of Directors. 

“I want to see Watson grow and to help the town position itself to take advantage of upcoming opportunities to continue to be a vibrant and involved community,” Rempel said in his candidate profile. 

Voting takes place until 8 p.m. in the Town of Watson chambers.
