Temporarily low levels

James Smith Cree Nation asks residents to limit non-essential water use

Feb 20, 2026 | 2:49 PM

James Smith Cree Nation (JSCN) has issued an update for residents regarding their water treatment plant.

“The water level is still quite low at this time,” a statement on social media read. “Today, our water trucks were only able to haul two loads each due to the reduced level.”

JSCN said they are monitoring the situation closely, and the level needs time to rise.

They are hopeful the situation will improve by Monday, and water levels will return to normal.
