Feb 20, 2026 | 3:44 PM

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit is investigating the deaths of two elderly people in the Village of Love, about 120 kilometres northeast of Prince Albert.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, Nipawin RCMP received a report of two deceased individuals at a residence in the community, which has a population of about 50 people.

They found the bodies of a 77-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man, who are part of the same family. Police did not provide their names due to Privacy Act obligations.

Police said they believe the woman died as a result of homicide, and the man died of self-inflicted injuries.
