Tisdale looks to claim playoff spot

Trojans, Wolfpack in action this weekend

A crucial weekend for the Tisdale Trojans as they try to grab a playoff spot in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL). 

The Trojans are in Estevan Friday and Saturday night, with puck drop at 7:30 for both games. 

Tisdale has 36 points with three games remaining – the two against Estevan and a makeup game at home Monday against the Prince Albert Mintos. 

Tisdale trails the Saskatoon Contacts by two points for the final playoff spot, and the Trojans are three back of Battlefords. 

The Contacts will face the last Notre Dame Hounds in their final two games, while the Battlefords will play the third place Saskatoon Blazers on the road tonight in their last game of the regular season.

The North East AA Wolfpack will have a pair of games this weekend. 

They will hit the road to face the Parkland Elks Saturday night at 8. 

The Wolfpack will then host the Saskatoon Screaming Eagles Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at the Northern Lights Palace in Melfort. 

North East has just three games remaining in their season.
