Naicam man charged with murder has trial date set

A Naicam man charged with killing a relative will have his trial later this year. 

Kevin Swanson was charged with second-degree murder after an incident last May. 

Melfort RCMP were called about a serious assault at a home on Third Ave. N. in Naicam and discovered 81-year-old Dennis Swanson, who was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The trial for Kevin Swanson will begin Oct. 13 at Melfort’s Court of King’s Bench.
