Nipawin sweeps weekend

Hawks’ Roberts named SJHL’s MVP of the Week

Gage Roberts of the Nipawin Hawks is the SGEU MVP of the Week in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

The backstop went 2-0-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against-average and a .981 save percentage. 

The Hawks defeated the Mustangs in Melfort 3-1 Friday night, and blanked the Warman Wolverines 5-0 at the Centennial Arena on Sunday. 

Nipawin is in Flin Flon Tuesday night as the SJHL regular season nears its end, while the Mustangs host Estevan on Wednesday.
