Local fire crews respond to recent incidents including collision south of Melfort

Mar 12, 2026 | 10:12 AM

NOTE: Original story had incorrect times for MFD fires. They have since been corrected.

Two local fire departments were busy recently after three separate incidents.

The Melfort Fire Department (MFD) was called to a structure fire in Pathlow just after midnight on Sunday.

A garage was fully engulfed in flames by the time they arrived, and damage was limited to the garage and some heat damage to an adjacent building.

There were no injuries.

The MFD was then paged out to a crash south of Melfort on Highway 6 just after suppertime.

Crews were able to get the lone occupant out of the vehicle and into EMS care.

The Tisdale Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover Friday night.

Crews determined that the vehicle was heading east and lost control, rolling multiple times before coming to rest on the passenger side.

The lone occupant safely exited the vehicle and was awaiting the arrival of EMS and fire personnel.
