Jansen Jets claim Wheatland Hockey League title

The Jansen Jets are the 2025-26 Wheatland Senior Hockey League champions. 

They downed the St. Brieux/Lake Lenore Rivals 4-2 in game four of the five-game final. 

The Jets went up 3-0 after one period after a pair of goals from Nayte Zip and a tally from Riley Funk. 

The Rivals stormed back to make it a 3-2 game after two periods, following a pair of goals from Cody Pongracz. 

Drake Bodie closed the scoring in the third for the Jets, who were 8-5-1 during the regular season, good for third place.
