King’s Bench charges stayed for Steven Bondy

A man facing multiple charges after a firearms trafficking investigation has had many of those charges suspended. 

The Court of King’s Bench in Melfort has issued a stay of proceedings against Steven Bondy of Hudson Bay. 

The criminal proceedings could be revived within one year. 

Bondy faced weapons trafficking and other charges stemming from the search of a home in the Viellardville area in 2024, in which multiple weapons, ammunition, and other items were seized. 

Bondy pleaded guilty in Melfort Provincial Court this month to counts relating to drug possession, breach of conditions, and transfer of firearms.
