Sep 3, 2026 | 1:57 PM

An employee of the Saskatchewan Health Authority who looked at the records of patients she was not involved in caring for is no longer with the organization.

The SHA confirmed reports of the breach, saying that it happened at the Nipawin hospital between July 2025 and May 2026.

“Personal health information was viewed by an employee not involved in providing care to those patients,” said the SHA in an emailed statement to paNOW.

The incident has been reported to the Office of the Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner.
