It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine “Lynn” Rislund on Thursday, July 18, 2024.  Lynn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Lynn was born January 23, 1956 in Tisdale, SK.  She was raised at the Thompson family farm by Star City.  She started working at the Credit Union on April 1, 1974 and was employed there for over 35 years.  After retiring from the Credit Union, she started helping at the Ingram & Yeadon accounting office.

She married the love of her life on November 4, 1978.  After 45 years together, Lynn will be deeply missed by Brian.  She loved to travel, camp, golf, sew, curl and garden.  She was always up for an adventure, but her favorite part of every trip was arriving home, as there was no greater joy in her life than having family under one roof for food, games, cold drinks, and laughter.

Lynn is survived by her husband Brian, daughter Kendra (Dallas) Longman and their children Rylee and Blaire, sister Debbie Cleaveley, sister Judy Lefebvre (Greg Walberg), brother Bill (Cathy) Thompson, brother-in-law Bill (Mae) Rislund, and sister-in-law Joanne Rislund.

She was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Agnes Thompson, father and mother-in-law Albert and Mary Rislund, brother-in-law Gerry Lefebvre, brother-in-law William (Bill) Cleaveley, and brother-in-law Robert (Bert) Rislund.

Lynn’s smile and laugh lit up a room and as we grieve our loss, our wonderful memories of her will give us comfort in the days ahead.

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held for Lynn.  The interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Columbarium.
