Humboldt council approves change to wastewater bylaw
The City of Humboldt has passed an amendment to their Wastewater Treatment Facility Borrowing bylaw.
The approval was given at Monday night’s council meeting.
In June, council approved a bylaw to borrow up to $12 million for the construction of a new wastewater treatment facility and upgrades to two lift stations. The bylaw also outlined the borrowing terms, interest rate, and repayment schedule.
City Controller Jace Porten told northeastNOW why the amendment was necessary.
