Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for the North East earlier in the day. Forecasters were predicting 10 to 15 cms of snow for the region and winds gusting up to 60 km/h.
A snowfall warning is also in effect for the Prince Albert area. However, roads weren’t as bad around Prince Albert and Melfort where the primary condition of the highways was listed as snow covered. Visibility was good around Tisdale where the area highways were only partly covered with snow. However, Environment Canada warned conditions could change rapidly.
