Humboldt Broncos win SJHL awards for week, month

A Humboldt Bronco has been named a player of the month in the SJHL for January.

Dazza Mitchell joined the team from the Weyburn Red Wings earlier this season, and he has come up big for the Broncos after being acquired.

Mitchell was 4-2-0-1 in January, with a 2.68 goals-against-average and a .926 save percentage, earning the Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Month honours.

The Regina native was also named SaskTel Goalie of the Week in the SJHL last week, after going 2-0-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and a .934 save percentage.

Several of his teammates joined him on the player of the week list.
