The Tim Hortons’ Camp day was a big success Wednesday in Melfort and Tisdale, organizers said.
Over $11,000 was raised between the two stores, through coffee sales and fun activities. The money will be used to send kids from low-income families to camp, where they will learn leadership and team-building skills.
This year was the first year the Tisdale location took part in the charity fundraiser as it is a new store, and they managed to raise $4,850.
Over the past 25 years, $175 million has been raised provincially for the cause and more than 250,000 kids have been sent to camp.
