With great sadness we announce the passing of Tracey Michelle Renneberg (nee Bayerle) in Melfort, SK, on Thursday, October 9 at the age of 58 years.

Tracey is lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Dale Renneberg; her brother Pete (Vanessa); niece Isla and nephew Kieran, and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Margaret.

Born on Oct. 9, 1967 in Calgary, AB, Tracey had many joys in her life. From an early age, she loved the mountains and nature, especially hiking and skiing. As a teenager, she was a competitive swimmer and also developed a passion for cooking, a favourite pastime with her dad. She attended SAIT culinary school to become a trained chef, and was an extremely talented one at that, having worked at both the International Hotel and Pinebrook Golf & Country Club in Calgary.

Tracey moved to Melfort in 1996 after meeting and marrying Dale. The two of them built a life together in Saskatchewan, starting the Sweet Aroma Cafe, a favourite dining spot for (and still fondly remembered today by) many Melfort and Tisdale area residents.

Together with Dale, she enjoyed gardening, cross country and downhill skiing, hiking, boating and of course her pets, many of which she and Dale saved over the years. In respect for Tracey’s wishes, there will be a private family celebration of her life.
