It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our son, brother and uncle, Terry Victor Aspvik. Terry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Parkland Place in Melfort on November 16, 2025 at the age of 66 years, after a short battle with cancer.
Terry was the second child of Victor and Mary Aspvik. He grew up and went to school in Spruce Home. After he was done school, he worked as a cook in Ed’s Inn, The Louis Riel and the Marlboro Inn and also had a catering business, in which he catered to many weddings and events. He also loved to sing and was a talented organist and played at many of his friend’s weddings.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Aspvik, his brother Jerry (Barb) Aspvik and his nieces Jacquie (Robin) Sundelin and their children Marissa (Travis) and Kaleb; Nicole (Ryan) Shore and their children Kendall, Kieran, Nova and Rayn; Natalie (Bob) Hawkeswood and their children Brianne (Patrick), Rachelle and Ryley (Lexus) and his godson, Chad Chester.
He is predeceased by his father, Victor Aspvik, his great-nephew, Patterson Shore, and his grandparents, Alfred and Hazel Aspvik and David and May Williams.
We would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Parkland Place, who treated him like family and his two nieces Jacquie and Nicole, who never left his side until the very end.
A Private Family Graveside service will be held at a later date in the Paddockwood Cemetery.
