Over $12,000 raised

Funds distributed from Melfort Christmas Castle

Feb 4, 2026 | 1:53 PM

The organizers of the Melfort Christmas Castle have distributed the proceeds to local groups.

The event raises money for a variety of community organizations and features hundreds of trees, trains, and other Christmas-themed items inside the Historic Post Office during the holiday season.

About 2,500 people came through the doors to experience everything the Christmas Castle offered in 2025.

The event raised over $12,000.

Donations went to the North Central Health Care Foundation, the Believe in the Gold childhood cancer foundation, and Grief Share. Money also went to the Historic Post Office Advisory Group, as they look to restore and rehabilitate the century-old iconic facility in downtown Melfort.

Organizer Elaine Tremblay told northeastNOW last month that they will look to make the event even bigger and better next year. She said having the Christmas lights outside the Historic Post Office this year was a nice touch.
