Lloydminster shop owner helps retrieve stolen WWE Hall of Fame ring
Thanks to the actions of a Lloydminster business owner and the power of social media, a stolen WWE Hall of Fame ring will soon be back on the hand of its rightful owner.
The ring, along with a number of other items were taken sometime between late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning after a locked trailer, parked outside a hotel, was broken into. Harry Smith, the son of “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith and an accomplished wrestler in his own right, is currently touring with Canadian Wrestling’s Elite and they had done a show in the city.
When news broke of what happened, a number of social media posts flooded the internet.
Craig Hubbard, Owner of U Bet Ya Thrift Store was among the people who saw the posts and explained to paNOW about a year and a half ago, he began buying gold. He’s also a longtime wrestling fan and was well aware of what the ring would mean to Harry Smith and the entire Hart family.
