Icy, snow covered highways in Melfort area

The Highway Hotline is reporting less than ideal driving conditions in the Melfort and Tisdale areas.

At 1p.m., all highways were either partially covered or full covered, and some recent rain has resulted in icy sections.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, Saturday afternoon’s forecast includes periods of light snow changing to periods of rain.

Periods of snow are expected to continue on Sunday.

Before you vemture out on the highways this weekend, be sure to check the highway hotline first.
