Alvin Lorne Hill

Today we are here to honour the life of Alvin Lorne Hill. Alvin was born May 14th 1954 to Jim and Mary Hill. He grew up on the family farm in Birch Hills where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of having coffee whenever anyone stopped in.
Alvin was employed in Hagen for the majority of his working years hauling fertilizer to nearby farmers. When he wasn’t working he could be found in the field, fishing, or watching his son, Landon, play sports. Once retired, he substituted his time in the field for time baking in the kitchen. Alvin’s baking was well loved by anyone who tasted it and he would often send you home with a dozen of whatever he was making.
Alvin was predeceased by his father, Jim Hill, in 2012, his mother, Mary Hill, in 2019, and his wife, Julie Edworthy, in 2017 and many aunts and uncles.
Alvin is survived by his son, Landon (Madison), Aunt Rosie Hill and many cousins that were very dear to him.
Alvin will be remembered as a kind man, a proud father, and someone that was always willing to help a friend in need.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Birch Hills Civic Centre, Birch Hills, SK
