A former player for the Humboldt Broncos will be continuing his hockey career post Junior A.

Forward Jacob Strizzi has committed to Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) to become a member of the Bold.

Strizzi, a 21-year-old native of Toronto, came to the Broncos in the middle of the 2023/24 campaign after being acquired by the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s (OJHL) North York Rangers.

He then stayed in Humboldt until this season’s deadline (2025/26) before being shipped back to the OJHL and the Milton Menace.

Split between the three organizations, in four years of Junior A hockey, Strizzi had 240 points in 195 regular season contests, while adding 16 points in 24 playoff games.

Strictly as a member of the Broncos, the 6-2, 205-pound forward amassed 148 points (58 goals and 90 assists) in a combined 124 matches.

TMU’s men’s hockey team competes as a member of U Sports in the OUA (Ontario University Athletics) conference and its West division.

The Bold have made three trips in the last four seasons to the U Sports National Championships.

“We are excited to announce the commitment of Jacob Strizzi,” said the organization in an Instagram post. “He brings a combination of size and skill with a knack for finishing around the net.”
