RCMP received a report of a shooting at a home on Burrows Ave. W. on Friday.

Police determined that there had been an altercation between a group of individuals, and a firearm was discharged.

One person was struck and treated at hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Four people were arrested at the scene, and officers seized two firearms, firearm parts, and a side-by-side and generators that had been stolen from a business in Melfort earlier that day.

RCMP say one of the people assaulted an officer while being taken to police cells.

Shayla Tataquasson-Bear, 30, from Tisdale faces seven counts, including possession of a firearm while prohibited and assaulting a police officer.

As a result of continued investigation into the stolen items, 40-year-old Tyrone Rogers of Melfort faces several charges, including one count of break and enter with intent, theft of a motor vehicle, and more.

The fourth person arrested was released without charge.

The three were scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Monday.

Tisdale RCMP assisted with the investigation.
