Deryl passed away peacefully Aug 3,2026 at The Chateau in St Brieux. Born in Golden BC, he was the first born of Hubert and Elva Daugherty. He grew up in Edgewater BC and had many friends.

He was a social person and could get along with almost everyone. He enjoyed making people laugh. After a few years in different places, he settled in the Naicam SK area. His parents eventually retired there and Deryl and his dad would spend time going to auctions and having coffee at the local cafes.

He spent his later years mowing lawns and collecting bottles for extra money, but eventually had to stop for health reasons.

The last few years were spent in a care facility, where he enjoyed the company of his neighbors and the staff. He is survived by his former spouse Bernice and daughter Kathlynn, brother Donald (Rose), sister Marion (Leroy) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

There will be no service at Deryl’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kinsmen Foundation Sask/Telemiracle.
