Mustangs add pair of forwards ahead of Fall Camp

The Melfort Mustangs have added a pair of forwards ahead of this weekend’s fall camp. Luke Dekay and Carter Wingert are the two newest members of the organization.

Dekay, a 20-year-old native of London, Ont., split last season between a pair of Junior A clubs. To begin the year, Dekay played for the Weyburn Red Wings before eventually finishing the campaign with the BCHL’s Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Over two seasons in Weyburn, the 2006-born product suited up 89 times and registered 55 points (21G, 24A). In 15 contests with the Capitals, meanwhile, he added seven points (two goals and five assists).

Luke has other ties to the SJHL, as his older brother Ethan was also a member of the Red Wings. In Cowichan, he was teammates with his twin brother Carter.
