Outback Thunder dismiss Head Coach, in search of replacement

The Carrot River Outback Thunder are now in need of a new head coach. This comes after the club announced that Steve Percy has been dismissed.

Percy has been leading the club since the 2023/24 campaign and was let go four games into this season. So far, Carrot River has a 0-4 record, while being outscored 24-10.

In a statement from the organization, they said, “This was not an easy decision. After careful consideration, we determined that a change in direction was in the best interest of our team moving forward. This decision is not a reflection of Steve’s character, dedication, or commitment to the organization and its players.”

The club also added that “We would like to thank Steve for the time, effort, and commitment he has given to the Outback Thunder organization and our players during his time with our team. We wish him all the best moving forward… Our focus remains on supporting our players and continuing to move forward with the 2026–2027 season.”
